A Christian Fellowship Rejoices

From a Community of Faithful Listeners

(From the letter that these listeners sent, it became clear that they are all originally from Central Asia, but currently live and work in Russia. They have very close fellowship with each other, working and living in very tight quarters.)

“We received your letters and the Christian greetings and we rejoiced. You explained in your letter why Jesus came to this earth in such a comprehensive and open manner. I read your letter to my whole family. I also took it to work and read it to my colleagues who are Uzbek, Turkmen, Kazakh, and Tajik. The letter had a very big impact on them. They were most of all amazed that you, who are from a large city, congratulated such a simple woman as me. Everyone here likes all of your programs. May you be thanked a thousand times. May the Most High bless each one of you and each member of your family.

“A young man joined us here, and my husband and I have talked to him about Isa Masikh (Jesus Christ). He follows another religion and was always reading in his prayer book. It was difficult for him to believe what we shared with him. But after two or three days, we turned on the radio and your program was on the air. He sat and listened to all of the programs – in Uzbek, Turkmen, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, and in Russian. He listened and was amazed. Your program answered all of the questions that had been bothering his soul. It was as if you were talking directly to him and saying all the right words. We showed him the Jesus movie afterward in Uzbek. And what do you know – this young man repented! He accepted Christ into his heart. Then another young man from Turkmenistan also repented and accepted Christ! May the Most High be praised! And may He be praised that more than 15 followers of another religion have already accepted Christ here in our area.

“Now my husband gathers all of the Central Asians in our apartment every Thursday. We pray together, read the Ingil (New Testament), and pray for the presidents of our countries. Please, if at all possible, pray for our country of Turkmenistan – that the church gatherings would be declared legal. May the Most High send us good servants. Please send us some songs, the Holy Scripture and literature in Uzbek. We would like to sing when we gather. The books that you sent to us earlier have been read by many. Here in Russia, we have turned to various sources for literature, but we have not been successful.”
