I Have Found Myself in the Story of Job

A message from a 20 year-old Albanian listener

The Thru the Bible series has greatly impacted my personal study of the Bible. Its messages are a great encouragement every time I hear them. I have listened to all of the series and they have challenged me through the years.

From all the programs, the story of Job is the one which has influenced me most. I have found myself in this story. Just like Job, I have had many tragedies in my life. The devil tried to push Job to curse the Lord which is something that he did not do. Some years ago, the doctors gave me no hope to see again. The devil must have thought that he won the war and I would turn away from God, but that adversity brought me closer to Him. He gave me hope and faith. My sight has recovered and now I can see to walk by myself in my everyday life. The friends of Job thought that he had no future. Many people thought the same about me when they saw me sick. Maybe they thought that it would be better if I died than to live in that miserable condition that I was in. But today I can say that God has closed the mouth of those people and that Christ has plans for my life.

He blessed Job so that he became fulfilled. In the same way, I am full of the blessings of Jesus Christ. Blessed be His holy name.
