Jonathan grew up as a missionary kid in Thailand and has been with TWR since 1993. He has worked in a variety of roles and locations, and currently serves in Austria as Resource and Web Developer for Member Care Radio (a ministry of TWR), which he says is “a fancy title that really means I’m a web master and journalist all tossed into one. My main focus is getting the Member Care Radio programs into as many different media formats as possible and finding content for those programs. When I’m not doing that, I’m helping the MCR Director at Member Care Conferences and networking with other Member Care ministries…so no two days are alike!”\
When Jonathan came to work for TWR Europe in 2005, he fell in love with Austria in more ways than one. He married Bel, an Austrian, in 2008 and they were joined by son Luca in November 2009.
How did you come to TWR? I first joined TWR for three months as a summer worker in 1992, when I was studying for my Radio Broadcasting diploma. As part of my studies, I was required to complete a three month internship, which I did with TWR on the island of Bonaire. It wasn’t until I was back in Canada finishing off my diploma that God started to work on me and make me realize that I could use my training and passion in missions. I returned to Bonaire in April 1993 and have never left TWR!
