TWR Slovakia Airs FM In Bratislava

BRATBratislava, Slovakia, 4 April 2012 – The TWR Partner in Slovakia, TWR media, began its third FM frequency 103,6 MHz for listeners in Bratislava.

TWR's FM broadcasts in Slovakia, using the title of "Radio 7", began in March 2008 when a transmitter was built in Banska Bystrica with the help of HCJB Global. An additional frequency was added in 2011 for the Nove Mesto nad Vahom area in northern Slovakia. Radio 7 has now also started to broadcast in Bratislava, the nation's capital.

This is the third frequency in the country and will be serving a city of half a million potential listeners. Radio 7 also broadcasts via satellite, in cooperation with TWR Czech Republic, and thus covers the entire European continent.

“FM broadcasting enables us to get closer to the people. We want to be able to open a new dimension to our ministry – to reach people who are spiritually searching and provide them with a service that will compete well in comparison with other commercial radios in Bratislava,” stated Lubomir Vyhnanek, Partner’s director.

Peter Kolarovsky, TWR Central East Europe Ministries Director, shared: “What appeared impossible 20 years ago has become a reality today. After a number of months of effort, the TWR National Partner in Slovakia, TWR media, launched its FM broadcast in Bratislava on April 2, 2012. The Partner operates the station under the name of Radio 7, and listeners can tune into the broadcast. Praise the Lord for providing our Partner with this unique opportunity to reach the capital of the Slovak Republic with the Gospel!”
