Message of Eternal Hope Spreads in Finland

– now also through Marli Spieker´s book When Hope Wins

Kun_toivo_voittaaThe Finnish partner of TWR, Radio Mission The Messengers, has published the Finnish translation of Marli Spieker´s original book When Hope Wins. The title in Finnish, Kun Toivo Voittaa, is a direct translation. The book was translated by two volunteers, Mrs Leena Reijonen and Mrs Kristiina Annala, who are both devoted supporters of Project Hannah.

The well-received book contains eleven true stories of women who have been uplifted from despair to eternal hope by the Gospel. Project Hannah, working actively in the different countries of these women, had the priviledge of serving as the intermediary.

The launch of the book is part of Project Hannah Global Director Marli Spieker´s tour in Finland. She had five meetings to encourage and invite Finnish women to engage in missions. The meeting on Friday 13 May in the city of Lahti was part of the official program of the Church Days of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland.

In Finland there are more than 600 subscribers of the PH Prayer Calendar and 42 prayer groups around the country. Through The Messengers they support Women of Hope radio programs in four languages in Indonesia, Cambodia and India. From the beginning of 2012, two more languages and programs will be added to the line of support.
